Delivery Terms & Conditions

Customer Notes
All prices stated below are for retail orders only, all pricing for delivery of trade orders is on application.

If we are unable to supply your order for any reason, we aim to advise you within 24-48 hours. If you wish to then not proceed with your order, you will be issued a full refund within 5-7 working days via your original payment method. Westminster reserves the right to change any instore/advertised prices without notice.

Types of Delivery

  1. Standard Delivery
    We offer a standard delivery service within England & Wales. For all other areas in the UK, including Northern Ireland, Eire, Scotland, islands or highlands, please contact the office for a shipping/delivery quote. For addresses within the red zone, our warehouse team will contact you to arrange a suitable date for delivery. For addresses outside the red zone (see image) we deliver via a pallet network company. For more information on this please read Section 2 Curb Side Delivery. For delivery of accessories, we use an outsourced courier service such as City Sprint.

    Standard Delivery (also referred to as ‘room of choice delivery’) is free of charge on all orders over £1,000. If the order is below £1,000, a fixed rate of £50 inc vat will apply (with the exception of accessories under 20kg which is free of charge, and over 20kg charged at £25 inc vat).

  2. Curb Side Delivery
    Delivery to addresses outside of our red zone will be serviced via a pallet network company. A curb side delivery means that the goods will be delivered via pallet, to a point closest to the location suited that is accessible (e.g. front door / curb side).
    The customer is deemed to have accepted the goods at the point of delivery & it is the customer’s responsibility to safely move the goods & dispose of the pallet & any packaging. Westminster will not be held liable for any damage or theft of goods which might take place after the delivery has been made. A proof of delivery (POD) image may be taken by the driver when the customer is not present.

  3. White Glove Delivery
    Our White Glove service involves delivery via a specialist team who position the product in the desired location, assemble the products if required and remove & dispose of all packaging.

    White Glove Delivery is only available on orders over £1,000. For postcodes within the red zone, we charge £95.00 (except for Clearance products which are charged at £195). For delivery outside of the red zone please contact our sales department for a quotation (sales@westminsterfurniture.co.uk).

  4. Pergola Assembly & Installation
    Please note that we have two different customer policies regarding pergola delivery and installation:
    1. Standard Delivery Only - Our team delivers the product and the customer is responsible for any assembly / installation works. See Section 1. Standard Delivery for more information on this.
    2. Assembly and Installation Service - We charge £495 for our team to deliver the goods and complete any assembly / installation works.

  6. International Delivery
    For deliveries outside the UK mainland and special delivery options please contact sales@westminsterfurniture.co.uk before placing your order. We no longer cater for international deliveries however we can deliver to your assigned international agent in the UK, we have listed below some recommendations for you. We are unable to invoice goods without VAT, this must be paid at time of purchase. Clients exporting goods can claim back VAT via the Government Vat reclaim service once they arrange shipping.

  8. Collection
    Prebooked arrangements can be made to collect from our Uckfield warehouse by contacting sales@westminsterfurniture.co.uk. Collections can usually be made between 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with 5-7 days ’notice. Health & Safety restrictions onsite mean access to the collection site may be changed/delayed at short notice.


Delivery Process

  1. Timescales
    We will aim to contact you within 24 – 48hrs prior to the delivery. Delivery is expected within 7 working days and is available between 8am and 6pm Monday – Friday, dependant on location. If a curb side service in a remote delivery location is not acceptable, lead time for delivery may be longer than 7 days & a delivery charge may apply.

  2. Delivery Considerations
    Customers will choose their desired delivery option during the checkout process (e.g. curb side delivery or white glove). Please assume that the delivery vehicle will be a mid-large size lorry with tailgate. If you are aware of any issue with regards to access or the roads are subject to timed access limitations/permit access only/weight or width restrictions please inform us at the time of arranging the delivery. If we are not made aware of any access issues in advance, then this could result in a failed delivery charge being applied.

    All goods must be counted and assessed for any damage before signing/accepting the delivery. After this time, any damage not reported to us is considered to be the customer’s responsibility. Goods will only be left at the delivery address without the customer’s signature only if previously requested, however under these circumstances we cannot accept any liability for short deliveries/claims. Should delivery be declined at the nominated delivery address, we reserve the right to charge for the second delivery.

  3. Damages
    Whilst we make every effort to ensure that our goods are delivered in perfect condition, please inspect your goods in full, immediately upon delivery as no claims can be made after the courier has left your premises. If you receive a damaged product you must record the damage with photographic evidence. If you refuse to accept a delivery that is found to be undamaged you may incur a charge. Any claims must be made within 7 days of receipt of goods. No liability will be accepted for costs caused by late deliveries.

  4. Returns
    Apply within and up to 14 days from the point of purchase. If the goods are rejected for any reason other than product defect, a 10% restocking fee will apply (up to a maximum of £200). This charge covers the delivery/return costs incurred processing the returned goods. All items returned MUST be in original packaging and as new resalable condition.

  5. Back Orders
    If your item or part of your order is not in stock, we will back order it for you if requested at the point of order. You will be emailed with the option to cancel your order should you rather not wait. Please note that when stock is being shipped from abroad & if an expected delivery date is available, we will aim to update this online. Please note delivery dates are estimates only and they may fluctuate depending on supplier demand etc. Westminster cannot be held liable for any delay & therefore will not provide financial compensation should a delay be experienced.

  6. Cancellations
    Should you wish to cancel your order before goods have been despatched, we will aim to refund you the full invoice charge to your originally charged credit/debit card within 5-7 working days. Our policies are in accordance with the distance Selling Regulations 2000. All returns and cancellations must conform to the guidelines stated in the “Distance Selling Regulations 2000” which can be found HERE
